Jenks continues to roll over team after team. The Trojans’ latest victim was Bixby High School which Jenks claimed 45-7.
Bixby got off to a strong start, leading 7-3 and putting Jenks in uncommon territory. The lead did not last long as the Trojans responded early in the second quarter when Cooper Nunley hit Stephan Parker for a 19-yard touchdown.
That first touchdown was all it took to get Jenks back on track. The Trojans extended their lead when Cameron Booty punched in a 1-yard rush for a score. Then, with a little more than a minute left, Nunley found Dylan Harding cutting through the middle for a 54-yard touchdown, bringing the score to 24-7 and the half.
The second half was dominated by Jenks, adding on another 21 points and shutting out the Spartans. Cameron Booty and Kalen McDavid both rushed the ball in for touchdowns and linebacker Danny Hoyt found the endzone from an interception return.
Throughout the game, Cooper Nunley completed 9 of 12 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns. Cameron Booty added the tally with two scores of his own with 127 yards in 21 carries.
Advancing to 9-0, Jenks maintains their status at 10th in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings and 1st in Oklahoma. With the regular season coming to a close, the Trojans prepare for one last challenge against Putnam City on November 8.
