Unfortunately for Sapulpa High School, Jenks’ offense was on top form yet again.  For the third consecutive game, the Trojans put up 40+ points.  By the end of the game, Jenks led 59-7 over the Chieftains.

Jenks had difficulties getting on the scoreboard at first, losing scoring opportunities to penalties and turnovers.  Finally, almost eight minutes into the second quarter, Jenks score the first points of the game when junior Kalen McDavid ran the ball in from 36 yards out.

Once the Spartans got the ball rolling, they were unstoppable.  Jenks led 17-0 by the half.  Sapulpa responded with an early touchdown to start the third quarter, but the Spartans took the power right back.  This time, they kept the momentum, scoring five more touchdowns before the game finished.

Senior running back Cameron Booty led the team with three touchdown and 158 yards on 19 carries.  Cooper Nunley, the sophomore quarterback, completed ten of 14 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown.

Jenks’ power victory advances them to 5-0 and 14th in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings.  The Spartans face their next opponent, Broken Arrow, on October 11 at 7:30p.

Key Players:

Cameron Booty- 19 carries, 158 yards, 3 TD

Cooper Nunley- 10-14 for 168 yards, 1 TD

Kalen McDavid- 9 carries, 81 yards, 2 TD
